Rock Creek Trail, Little Lakes Valley, Eastern Sierra<\/span><\/strong>
If you had only one day to hike in Eastern Sierra, and wanted to get a glimpse what Eastern Sierra is really about, there are two hikes I would recommend: Rock Creek Trail in Little Lakes Valley and 20 Lakes Basin, near Saddlebag Lake.<\/span>
Rock Creek trailhead starts\u00a0at about 10,000′, at the end of Rock Creek Road (just off of Tom’s Place), and goes through\u00a0a series of lakes – Mack, Marsh, Heart, Long, Chickenfoot, and Gem – all within the first few miles.<\/span>
You can head over to Gem Lake and call it a day, or hike a bit further – over Morgan Pass to Upper and Lower Morgan Lakes, which will set you up with ~4,5 miles (one way) hiking distance.<\/span>
This is one of the most beautiful, and moderate (~1000 ft gain\/loss) \u00a0hikes I have done in the eastern sierra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
