That was a backpacking trip to remember! We hiked in rain, then hail and snow – just to wake up to this magnificent view of Second Lake and Temple Crag, Sunday morning. It was all gone by later afternoon, and only jagged peaks had some snow left. We went up to the Fifth lake, which was still frozen. Trail further up had a knee-deep snow/slush, so we decided to call it a day and enjoy our time at the Fifth. What an amazing weekend!
