Landscape Tuesday // Convict Lake – Eastern Sierra

Convict Lake is a small lake in Eastern Sierra, located at the foot of Laurel Mountain and Mount Morrison. The lake is named after an incident that took place there on September 23, 1871. Group of convicts escaped from prison in Carson City and were apprehended after a shootout near the head of what is now Convict Creek.
