Dory Fleet Market – Newport Beach

June 20, 2015

Today (Saturday), very early in the morning I went tDory Fleet Market in Newport Beach, to get some fresh catch. It was my first time there, and if you haven’t been there before either – do it! Not only it‘s a “historical landmark” and is the only one of its kind in the United States, but this place is really cool! Great way to buy fresh seafood – local fish and crabs, caught by local fishermen.                                                            Every one is kind and helpful, especially if you are a newbie, and ask a lot of questions ;) Your fish will be cleaned, filleted and cut right there, on the spot (upon your request, at no extra charge). Prices are very reasonable – and fish – is just hours old!
So, next weekend get up early –  you want to bee there no later that 5:30 am (free parking by the pier till 8:00 am), bring cooler full of ice, cash, and buy some seafood, while supporting your local fishermen. Or just go for the experience!
